Then again, better to be curious rather than critical - this raises a particularly interesting and pertinent question -

What exactly is a spiritual mentor?

Is a spiritual mentor...

1. Someone who you know who has specific spiritual beliefs who is personally providing you with mental, moral and or physical guidance?
2. Someone you don't necessarily know who is well-known whose life is exemplary enough and whose wisdom is inspiring enough for you to find spiritually rewarding?
3. A well-known religiously-spiritual guru?
4. Something else entirely?

There are dictionary definitions of course but I wonder if you agree with any of the above.
