POLL ??: Fear and Loathing in the Virtual Office : Part II!
Let your voice be heard and take the poll!!!
You may be asking yourself "Wait, where was part I? Did I miss it?" I mean, I know you are all FIERCLY loyal followers to the Business Survival Guide, and I thank you, but you did not miss anything, allow me to explain.
In 2022, I posted a poll on LInkedIn that aske the question "Why are manager/leaders hesitant to allow remote work" along with 4 options, one of which was "Other" and a request to comment (see below).
Well color me shocked when it went viral on the LinkedIn Premium Careers page and I had over 6000 votes with more than 300 comments. These comments spurred a number of conversation which was eventually adapted into the webinar "Fear and Loathing in the Virtual Office". That presentation was then featured in publications and presentations throughout the country, including the 2023 America's SBDC Conference.
I am embedding a copy of THE presentation used here:
There was even a handout for all of the Attendees!

I am planning to make a return to small business conferences this year to promote some of our exciting new products and services, including the launch of The Tempest Business Navigator which will offer DIY Business Toolkits containing everything from Business Plans to HR Manuals to Financial Planning Tools. More on that in the coming weeks BUT you can get a sneak preview at https://www.tempestnavigator.com (Shhhhh, don't tell anyone yet)
Anyway, my team and I were brainstorming as to the various topics we could focus on for presentation papers when we revisited some of the more successful workshops we developed in the past and this one jumped out at us. Soooo, I have republished the poll in the hopes of generating the same or GREATER level of response and compare the results! Check it out here!
Loyal followers, please click on the post above, let me know your thoughts, and repost. Once the results have been compiled, we will analyze the differences in answers and attitudes since 2022 and start a conversation about shifting "ways of working".
Please, we want to hear your voice! Take the poll, make a comment and join the conversation!!!
