Polkadot Hackathon Latam 2022

We are pleased to announce the results of #Polkadot Hackathon Latam 2022. It was a 6-week online hackathon supported by Parity Technologies and Web3 Foundation , funded by the Kusama treasury and supported by 15 projects from the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystem with the main goal of spreading Substrate and Polkadot technology.

Projects and parachains Acala , Astar Foundation , Chainlink Labs , Darwinia Network , Encointer Association , Gear Technologies , Kylin Network , Gasp , Moonbeam Network , Ava Protocol , Phala Network , Sensei Node, Subsocial , Unique Network , Virto Network and Zeitgeist participated with bounties, workshops, ecosystem sessions, judging and mentoring.

Polkadot Hackathon Latam had 353 participants and 41 submissions were presented with the participation of hackers from all over the world who came together to develop or integrate applications, infrastructure, DeFi, NFT and Smart Contracts.?

A total of 12 outstanding projects were selected by the judges to receive an award in 4 categories.

In addition of that, different ecosystem teams awarded bounties for their own challenges.
