POLITICS AND RELIGION
I rarely say anything about politics, but I have been thinking about this since a friend brought up the subject and said to me, to stay friends, let’s not talk about politics or religion. This is one man’s opinion, but what else is there to talk about? Politics has to do with the quality of life here and religion has to do with the quality of life hereafter. I feel like sharing something with those who do not understand why we believe in the Electoral College. Since Trump did not receive the popular vote some people believe he should not be president. God put Trump in office and man cannot take him out. Let me ask you a question. Let’s say that this coming football season the Dallas Cowboys win 14 out of 16 games and the Philadelphia Eagles win 10 out of 16 games. Let’s also say that the Cowboys score a total of 450 points, but the Eagles score 550 points, 100 more points than the Cowboys. Here is the question. Who should win the conference; the team who won the most games or the team who scored the most points? It’s easy to run up the score on some teams just like it is easy to run up the votes in some large cities.
Should they be concerned about the culture? About TRUTH, about society? YES you cannot avoid politics. It is the interaction of how we govern ourselves as a community!
