Political Pixels: the run-down of the week’s good digital politics - 11th-16th September
Another exciting week on the politics front - and a smattering of some interesting digital content too. Let’s dive in.
Gillian Keegan on RAAC | The Secretary of State for Education put out a simple, explainer style video update on the RAAC situation and what she and the Department for Education have been doing to tackle the issue. Explainer style videos like these are an effective tool of clearly explaining key information in a direct way.
George Osborne x Ed Balls on ‘Political Currency’ | Osborne and Balls are the new unlikely duo entering the world of podcasting! Their podcast, Political Currency launched this week - complete with this awesome behind the scenes feel video in Downing Street to boot. Give it a watch and a listen!
Senator Mitt Romney announces his retirement | I’m sad to see that Senator Romney is retiring, but he announced his departure from the US Senate in a classy and digitally simple way. A direct to camera video that was genuine and personable. Many British politicians would be wise to follow suit.
Governor Gretchen Whitmer | A fun example from across the Pond, with Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer extolling the virtues of the American automobile sector- all set to some funky music.
As ever, share your favourite digital pieces of political content with me!

1 年Nooo, not Mitt Romney! An amazing senator who fought a great presidential campaign against Obama all those years ago. Will be a sad loss to American politics.?
