Political Pixels: the run-down of the week’s good digital politics - 31st July - 5th August
Parliament isn't in session and MPs are perhaps taking a little break away from the trials and tribulations of social media.
One update that has caught my eye this week is from the US Embassy in Australia, with Ambassador Kennedy marking one year in the role. The team at the Embassy put together a really great recap video, marking moments such as a smoking ceremony, flying a fighter plane, arts events and eating Tim Tams.
Later in the week the Embassy chronicled the Ambassador's visit to the Solomon Islands where they commemorated the 80th anniversary of the sinking and rescue of President Kennedy's Patrol Torpedo Boat, PT-109.
They created a great series of photos and thread explaining the historical significance of the event.
Kennedy and her son also recreated the swim that President Kennedy did between Kennedy Island and Naru Island.
The US Embassy in Australia is one of the best embassies marking their work using social media- make sure you check them out!
