Political Pixels: political digital highlights, 27th December-3rd January

Happy New Year! We enter a new season of possibility with a new year of digital content awaiting us! Buckle up and get ready - and enjoy some of the highlights from the Twixmas period!

Yearly recaps | it’s almost a rite of passage now for a yearly recap. These stood out for me:

The King’s Foundation.

Chris Jackson 's year in royal photos.

Oliver Ryan MP shared his achievements since being elected.

As did Sarah Sackman MP. (I enjoyed visiting my old office!)?

10 Downing Street celebrated the new year with this graphic.

New Year clean out | we’ve all been doing this, but Governor Tim Walz took to X to talk about throwing away Apple Mac boxes! I quite like the authenticity of this.

Remembering Jimmy Carter | The former US President passed away last week, and there were some moving tributes to him online. The Empire State Building was lit red, white and blue in remembrance, Delta Air Lines shared this video of Carter shaking the hands of passengers on one of its flights and tributes from individuals themselves showed the kindness of the man.

Visiting Downing Street | I personally find National Archives dumps really interesting- you never know the gems you will find. Three visitors books from Number 10 were released over the past few days- and included some great signatures and comments. Kudos to Barbara Bush!?

Parliament returns next week and Members of Congress are on their way back to DC - political season begins again!
