Political Implosion in Nigeria/Osun
The defeat in Osun state that was witnessed by everyone, especially those mocking @officialABAT is a defeat that's on every politically conscious person out there who identifies as "a Progressive" orchestrated by a member of the party.
Progressives' mantra depicts that no one is above the party, but the Party is above each and every member. The majority of people in politics in Nigeria aren't politicians but mere #peopleinPolitics who are hungry for #Power. What occurred in Osun state is a political implosion ( Where a member of a party, works as a mercenary for another party to achieve his own purpose out of spite. "That's a crime and it is rampant" in the way politics is played in Nigeria. The cross carpeting in Nigeria is a Bane of our Political Progress. In other climes it's a no-no).
The internal party politics in Nigeria is to a large extent seen as a business venture as opposed to what "Politics truly entail". Many are not democrats or should I say politicians in the true sense of it, rather, they are just people in politics who see it as a trade or business venture. The quest for power, by all means, necessary is so much which is rooted in the cross carpeting ( jumping from one party to the other ) when the pendulum doesn't swing their way. You wouldn't find such a trait and practice in the British parliament or
