No alt text provided for this image

Poland has introduced legislation that?bans the use of numerous single-use plastic items and imposes restrictions on others.?Under the new law, certain single-use plastic products can only be used if a special fee is paid and with a warning label.

The ban will apply to nine types of single-use plastics: cotton buds, cutlery, plates, straws, drink stirrers, sticks attached to balloons,?food and beverage containers, and cups made from expanded polystyrene.

Any businesses found to be in?violation of these rules will be subject to fines ranging from EUR?2,205 to EUR?110,276.?The severity of the fine will be determined based on the extent of the violation's harmfulness. /Notes from Poland /
