Police Interpretation Of Law
In a complaint lodged at Tuling police Station, Nallasopara east, vide FIR I-56/2017, police send the complainant a notice u/s 91 of the Cr.P.C., calling upon her to produce various documents. The absurdity is the documents called for by the police are the very documents complained of having been stolen by the accused, who entered the complainants house in her absence and without her permission. The question that arises is how can one be called upon to produce a thing, which one has complained as being stolen ? Even worse under what authority do police call for documents ? Ofcourse the court can; but here we find that the police have their own interpretation, which they wish to foist on the citizens. This sad state of affairs prevails, because subordinate courts by and large condone police very liberally, if their faults are pointed out.
