Polarization
Sergio Hernández [Digital Transformation]
I am passionate about developing products, services, and driving organizations that can transform the way people live.
Social polarization have negative effects on a nation, such as increasing inequality, reducing social mobility, and undermining the ability of the government to effectively govern and meet the needs of all citizens. It can also lead to social and political conflicts, and in extreme cases, it may contribute to the breakdown of civil society.
Political polarization occurs when individuals or groups become increasingly entrenched in their political beliefs and ideologies, making it more difficult for people to find common ground.?
By dividing society into different groups and playing off one group against another, leaders can create a sense of "us versus them," which can be used to mobilize support for their own political agenda. It can also be used to distract the public from issues that the leaders do not want to address.?
Populist policies and rhetoric are often characterized by a strong sense of nationalism and anti-elitism, and may be associated with both left-wing and right-wing ideologies.
