Poland in 2060. Dear Migrant- Come to us! We love you!

A dramatic decline in population threatens Poland in the coming years. According to the forecasts of the Central Statistical Office, Poland's population will decrease by nearly 7 million people by 2060. In the Silesian Voivodeship alone, the population will decrease by one million. The number of inhabitants will decrease in 93% of poviats, while the number of seniors aged 65+ will increase from 7% to 20%. This forecast is not the worst, but a middle one, as the worst forecast assumes that Poland will lose 29% of its population by 2060. In this situation, Poland still does not have a well-thought-out immigration strategy and policy. Irresponsible far-left parties such as PiS, under whose rule the country's internal debt increased from PLN 700 billion to PLN 1.7 trillion, or the socialist-national Confederation, which, together with PiS, targets immigrants, trying to build fears and phobias towards all "strangers", " "others" and "newcomers", seeing this as a chance for electoral success in the absence of other political or economic arguments. Scaring with migrants in today's Poland, which is at risk of depopulation that will affect all areas of the economy and will overturn the social security system that is barely afloat, the health service that is barely able to cope under a short blanket, or the poverty-struggled budgets of local governments that can afford roads but not any other. infrastructure such as sewerage, gasification, schools, nurseries and kindergartens. Yes, every self-respecting local government spends millions on aqua parks, and most of them today should be visited during the day or with a headlamp, because in the evening there is Egyptian darkness there due to savings on maintenance costs. Most of these aquaparks will be closed and will haunt you with empty swimming pools (fortunately, there are no alligators in Poland) and corridors if the population does not increase dramatically. In this context, the voices of Kaczyński, Morawiecki and Bosak with brave boys by their side (their chances of marrying and reproducing in smaller towns are quite limited, mainly due to the lacks in education compared to better-educated women) building walls and hatred towards newcomers and immigrants, these are extremely dangerous actions and are aimed against the Polish raison d'état. The claim that Poland accepted migrants from Ukraine is just a rhetorical trick. It is true that there are about one million people from Ukraine in Poland, although after the end of the war in Ukraine, it is expected that at least 60-70% of these people will return to their home country within 2-3 years. Poland should now do everything to attract migrants in a thoughtful and sustainable way, taking into account criteria such as education, professional experience, age, etc. We already know that we will not be able to educate and retain enough doctors and medical staff to meet the needs of an aging society. Staff shortages in many sectors of the Polish economy and the growing minimum wage artificially stimulated by the Law and Justice (PiS) government, which claims to be right-wing but is in fact far-left, are causing Western companies to leave Poland. This supposedly right-wing government was pouring taxpayers' money left and right, including into the pockets of the party activists and leaders. Suffice it to say that in many ministries and state-owned enterprises, after the change of government as a result of the elections on October 15, it turned out that the use of payment cards of offices or enterprises for their own needs by managers or officials - in most party apparatchiks - was common, including financing in this way of dental care or expensive holidays for themselves and their immediate family. Despite the lack of increase in work efficiency, which in turn is related not only to the organization of work but also to poor infrastructure (nurseries, kindergartens, public transport, especially in small towns, health services, etc.) the minimal wage is growing. Currently, Donald Tusk's government is faced with a difficult decision. On the one hand, the pressure of migrants from Belarus, commonly but unjustifiably and exaggeratedly called a hybrid war, is used for propaganda purposes by his oponents. Meanwhile, from the beginning of the year to May 30, approximately 2,200 migrants reached Germany from Belarus, compared to 6,000 in the same period of the previous year. It is true that since March this number has increased compared to the winter months, which only means that migrants have understood that in winter in swumps of Bia?owie?a National Park their chances of survival are at greater risk. The issue of migration from Belarus is exaggerated and does not pose a major threat in terms of the number of arriving people. Of course, the threat is related to the illegal crossing of the border by people coming from countries ravaged by armed conflicts, or people who, for one reason or another, were expelled from the Schengen area in the past. However, it is worth emphasizing the few or a dozen or so% of people who meet the asylum criteria, which humanitarian organizations are trying with great difficulty to support and protect against pushbacks, would have no chance of getting to Poland in another, legal way. Certainly serving people from war-torn regions, often traumatized and requiring complex psychological, medical and social assistance, education, vocational training, etc. is more difficult than typical economic migrants from e.g. North African countries. Today, however, it is worth emphasizing that building a hostile narrative towards migrants is shooting yourself in the foot, and Donald Tusk's government cannot cope with this problem. Poland currently spends 4% of GDP on defence. When the population declines, there will be no money to finance these expenses either. If this continues, today's Confederation party voters, who, under the influence of party leaders, swear that they will not let "Pakis" into Poland, 30 years from now will be standing on the PL/BY border with banners - Welcome, Dear Migrant come to us! We love you!
