Pointer 5: Moving away from being a Fear Wolf ... to becoming a Courage Wolf...!

Pointer 5: Moving away from being a Fear Wolf ... to becoming a Courage Wolf...!

In the?previous four pointers,?we talked about?Finding Your Purpose,?Starting With The End In Mind,?Taking Point & Walking Tall,?and?Preparation As The Key To Success.

All fluffy words.?Maybe...!?Mind you, what is just below are "life guidelines", not "corporate guidelines". Why?

You were not "born corporate", you were "born human"...!?So, you might want to consider, developing or better allowing,?your "Courage Wolf" to show up in your personal life, first...?

The Fear Wolf:

Bends when pressure is applied, walks away, is shy, lives as much as possible in the shadows, doubt's himself or herself, avoids conflict, and hopes things will pass by.

Key Characteristic: Does?rarely engage?beyond ... the comfort zone.

The Courage Wolf:

Observes a lot, reflects on what the older "pack leaders" taught him/her, weighs what is in the balance, asks him/herself what is the right thing to do, and does not avoid conflict.

Key Characteristic: Does?often engage?beyond ... the comfort zone.

A lot of people might think,?yes but the "Courage Wolf" is more courageous, whatever that then might mean,?than the "Fear Wolf".

Nop. I'm sorry. That is not the case.?Why?

  • We are who we are in my view defined for 60% by nature and for 40% by nurture. That means?that courage is a developable asset. Of course, and as for all the important things,?you need "the right teachers" to guide you through that.
  • So again, courage?is not?the absence of fear, it is the mastery of fear. That means that the?"Courage Wolf" has found means to deal/cope with fear, where the?"Fear Wolf" has not yet found these.
  • The Courage Wolf engages, after?deep consideration, when?red lines are crossed?and?bad things start to occur, based on what would be the?"right thing to do"...!

So the good news is,?the Courage Wolf is in each of us. But?few have been blessed?in?their life with teachers,?helping them to learn how to handle fear in a ... relaxed way.

I hope this observation will at least make you stop and wonder, how much you allow your courageous wolf to be present...?

Happy reading,
