The goal of this series of regular posts, until further notice, is to offer up for consideration points for contemplation represented by topical cognitive development.?This differs from submitting for consideration an ideal in which adoption or debate ensues.??As has been our thinking from the onset it’s not about creating adopters but developing mindsets, on your terms in such a way that respectful dialog can occur.?Without this cognitive development we are left with fact less and often emotional contention that polarizes not grows societal development.

Even the most active and creative thinkers have their moments.?As is often the case though occurs as a result of some form of environmental stimulus.?It may be the result of events, discussions, or that lingering thought that for some reason has come to the surface.?It’s this ebb and flow in discernment that creates points-to-ponder (P2P).?

  • We start out this week by announcing that this will be the LAST point-2-ponder posting.?Behind every decision there are reasons, whether personal or profession.?This is likewise the case for this being the LAST in the series started 26 weeks earlier.?Best of luck and successful thinking and pondering.?#ponder ?#consider?#think
  • Where does your thoughts go??Are they closely guarded for undisclosed reasons or is the book fully open which in and of itself creates both opportunities and hostile contention??In the course of life a young adult is quite engaged and driven for a success goal.?But as events happen we find ourselves measuring our words and thoughts, closely guarding certain ones that we fill ill-equipped to deal with outside of our minds.?#secrets?#guarded?#conditions
  • The tongue is a hard element to constrain.?We see lies, destructive motives, contextual fabrication and inflammatory speech that drives us to reactively respond.?But is it worth it??Are you putting fuel on a fire of ignorance and malicious behavior or are you converting??Most of the times through conversion is unlikely and in fact it gives further support for the stupidity that is being incited for those of equal support for the contentious behavior.?So is it best to sit in silence and allow the fuel to burn off or is it better to act in defense knowing that its most likely going to be a wasted effort???#contention?#engagement?#response
  • What drives retirement??For some it’s simply a marker that is reached in which an exit from working normalcy can be taken.?In other cases it’s the result of emotional and sometimes physical exhaustion that drives us to exit.?The big question is what next??This is not a simple question to answer given that it means having to fill the void with something (or if not able in that moment feeling content with a vacant period).?Facing retirement may be for some a joyous event but there is always a certain degree of loss of purpose.?All of those work years are more than just repeating a series of tasks, sometimes repetitive, it is also involves remorse over the lack of sustained value that exists.?Yes, a legacy is in the moment and its durability becomes a matter of public interest.?In the present we see allot of coined wisdom, some from the great philosophers and others from people of notoriety.?Then there is you and I who are no less noble in our wisdom that for whatever reason will never see the comfort that our acts, deeds and words have brought.??Retirement is not from life but from the expected routine of work-a-day routines.??#retirement?#wisdom?#legacy
  • Is a closing an ending or a new beginning??Will the void for what you gave remain in demand beyond the end or will it instantaneously evaporate??This is not for us to decide but for those who are around us.?The compelling desire to make a difference that is branded by our unique identity is always there.??Whether we hold that seed within our grasp or require a seed from others remains the basis for growth.?In?trying time we cannot address this without cleaning up our act.?Decorum and respectful behavior has given way to insults and corrosive conduct.?Until you can raise yourself up without tearing others down you will NEVER achieve the acclaims you are seeking, no matter how good they are.?#decorum?#achievement?#conduct
  • Awards for….?????People representing businesses seeks awards.?Whether it be to elevate their esteem or gain of bit of notoriety they become a decisive(?) tool.?I raise the question as to whether they are all that important when it seems that the bar is set low or it becomes an affordable marketing device that can be acquired simply by application.??Wouldn’t it be nice to give awards based on acts and deeds, not just the use of influence that is monetarily or a worn our reference one can acquire from a dependent customer????In this age where an award can be given for simply existing it marginalizes those who really contribute and provide essential value.?Countries have used awards as recognition devices that unfortunately does bear equal value in terms of the quality of those in acclaim.?People use awards to legitimize a point in time but without much to show for it either beyond the ‘one hit wonder’ or worse not creating something that is sustainable.?Think about awards and value, do you know someone that is award less but is substantial??#awards?#value?#contributions?#legitimate
