The goal of this series of regular posts, until further notice, is to offer up for consideration points for contemplation represented by topical cognitive development.?This differs from submitting for consideration an ideal in which adoption or debate ensues.??As has been our thinking from the onset it’s not about creating adopters but developing mindsets, on your terms in such a way that respectful dialog can occur.?Without this cognitive development we are left with fact less and often emotional contention that polarizes not grows societal development.
Even the most active and creative thinkers have their moments.?As is often the case though occurs as a result of some form of environmental stimulus.?It may be the result of events, discussions, or that lingering thought that for some reason has come to the surface.?It’s this ebb and flow in discernment that creates points-to-ponder (P2P).?
- Does your contribution reach it’s fullest potential or does it fall short??All active contributors (and writers) put out there their works for general consumption.?There are others who go to great lengths to market their contributions.?We never stop wondering whether we need to do more and measure these next herculean efforts by way of the energy expended by comparison to value being created.?There is of course the test of time where in your war chest of contributions surface to be referred and used for some noble cause in the moment.?Often this is post existence so whether we know (spiritually) or don’t know is of little consequence to us but possibly allot of importance in the present context.?Although sharing has a certain self-indulgence real contributors do as a matter of giving.
- Living the personal of fabricated rightness will succumb to the truthful facts left unmentioned.?Time has a way of bringing light to the darkness of ill conceived intentions.
- Setting lofty goals produce lethal potential distractions to the fundamental and ever present realities of NOW.?Ambitions help us to aspire but it assumes many points of integrity.?Ones ambitions must be realistic, achievable via honest effort, be considerate of others and are constructively positive.??Any if not all of these fundamental virtues produces negative behavior and damaging impact on others.??So the question becomes one of aspirations authenticity.?Are we reaching unrealistically or is the reach so great that we start to compromise our integrity??Although we know that most any aspiration is possible we must be also realistic as to the length and depth of the path we will follow.?Clearly these aren’t defined routes but ones that are unexplored and unproven until the venture starts.?It’s our skillfulness and astuteness that will establish whether we were wishfully dreaming or that we thought realistically.?Time and effort remain the affront to ambitions.
- When you market your ‘marketing services’ does your outcomes serve as a testimony or simply reflect creative luck??It’s quite interesting to see shallow marketing become cliché to such things as the utilization of other non-marketing elements (like sales or service) to bolster their testimony.??The fluctuating selection of success support from others leads us to wonder whether it was the marketing the produced the opportunity or the ambitiously skillful efforts of others that brought success.?I’m sure we can remember marketing or possibly branding that captivated our attention but did it create desires and wants??Or was that ever the intention??Was its role to create awareness that then could grow over time to a needed/want??
- What is professionalism??It can and often is a hard path to follow given the temptation to allow our emotions (or desires) to take hold.?Yet a professional reflects on their actions, sometimes with the help of a courteous retort, that snaps us back into reality.?In similar ways we must given way to minimizing bias, prejudice, false assumption/conclusions and fruitless engagements that only contribute to confrontational polarization.?We see people-on-people seeking joy and prosperity but fail because of their utilization of time and efforts.?Contribute or remain silent, do no further harm, be consideration, stay focused on conditions (and facts if they can be relied upon) and realize that we ‘as people’ are quite similar in our life purpose.?The turmoil surrounds the tussle created by leaders as a result of goals (personal and professional).?It’s unfortunate that we become the baggage that must follow along on the journey.?But this doesn’t mean that we need to follow blindly in a stepwise fashion.
