THE POETICS OF SPACE

With a character shaped by various art forms such as sculpture, painting, photography, and architecture, ANEST COLLECTIVE has opened its second boutique in Chengdu IFS International Financial Square. Different from the Shanghai boutique, which transforms the essence of the city into architectural lines, here, the brand space is oriented towards the initial exploration of creating an artwork.

With a concept of curation, using furniture works from Rooms Studio, ANEST COLLECTIVE creates an "unfinished" studio atmosphere, likening the boutique space to a studio and the space as a canvas for free expression. Through the exhibition of design techniques, it explores the connections and relationships between the body, clothing, and spatial dimensions.

REVEALING AND CONCEALING

Unlike a seamless presentation of the artwork, the space starts from a sudden inspiration, revealing the creative process slowly through elements such as imprecise arrangements, scattered materials, and uneven progress of canvases. It discards the finished delicacy and reveals exploratory elements gradually.

CONDENSATION AND INSTANT

The space separates with frames, stretches with gauze. Using the studio as a metaphor. When you walk through and select clothing, it's as if you're entering the creator's thoughts and experiencing the creative process together.

LIGHTNESS AND VOLUME

The floor platform is like loosely stacked cardboard, creating rich layers of lines, just as clothing pleats and flows differently with different postures. Using fabric stacks as steps, it establishes a visually strong connection between fashion and materials.

In this upward stacking corner, it's a Babel Tower seeking to express consensus. Facing the art space where words are limited and meaning is boundless, ANEST COLLECTIVE offers a way of understanding through touch, wearing, and feeling through clothing pieces, connecting different dimensions of art. It makes it touchable, what the eyes receive, and translates it into what the body feels.
