A Poem on Mother’s Day
Who can be as great as Mother?;
?When only letter ‘M’ is enough to explain her better than others;
None can be as premiering, domineering, cheering, dearing as her;
??????????So, let’s not make others as great as our mother.
??????????When we were born, who took care of our apron?;
?????????Whose milk was as nourishing, invigorating and revitalizing as hers?;
???????She breastfed us all the day and night when we were crying.
?????????????????????So, let us vie to keep her soaring high.
????????????????She conceived us in her womb for nine months;
?????????And helped us grow as a robust fetus and saved from combust;
????????We can never pay her debt for what she bet and sweat for us.
?????????????????????????????So, let us pray for her heyday.
????????????????????????How to commemorate Mother’s Day?;
??????????There is no need for ostentation and pretension on this day.
??????????????All we need to do is make our mother sit on altar;
??????????????????????????And revere her with salver and fervor.
