PODS SAVE THE DAY DURING BLUE WRAP SHORTAGE

PODS SAVE THE DAY DURING BLUE WRAP SHORTAGE

The increased global demand for PPE materials and its negative impact on the supply of “blue wrap” material has become a topic of discussion. Manufacturers of blue wrap have been forced to allocate as much as 50% of their capacity towards making PPE, significantly reducing their capacity to manufacture this material to meet demand. Hospitals nationwide are already feeling the effects of this shift and are experiencing blue wrap shortages that are forcing them to look at other alternatives.

The Turbett Surgical Instrument Pods are a perfect solution for this situation and can dramatically increase surgical throughput and revenue for hospitals that otherwise would be increasing spend to source blue wrap or rigid containers.

How the PODs can help:

  • Reduce the reliance on blue wrap, especially due to manufacture supply issues
  • Increase revenue generation due to improved sterilizer throughput, less re-sterilization, less reprocessing and reduced waste
  • Increase staff satisfaction by minimizing the delays (and blame) and eliminating lifting and inspecting of blue-wrapped trays
  •  Streamline the surgical process by removing non-value-added tasks that result in faster OR set-up and sterilization times

For more detailed information on the advantages the Instrument Pod provides over blue wrap and other sterilization methods, please visit https://turbettsurgical.com/ or reach out to me at [email protected]
