Podcasting Success: A lot depends on research and asking engaging questions

The most important part of any podcast is the questions that are asked. While the introduction and the topic may draw in the audience, it is the questions that you ask as a podcast host that will keep them engaged. It is important to do research on the guest and their area of expertise before the interview. This will help you to ask more meaningful questions that will bring out the best in the guest.

As the show host, you should ensure that the questions are engaging and that you are not asking the same questions as other hosts. Also, make sure that the questions are not too long or too difficult for the guest to answer. By asking questions that make the guest think, the host can ensure that the conversation is lively and that the audience is being provided with valuable information.

Also, try and connect with the guest on social media and read up on their background. By doing this, the host can ensure that they are asking the right questions and that they are providing the audience with the best possible information. But make sure you prepare too many questions - five questions should be enough for a 25-minute show.

In conclusion, it is important for podcast hosts to research and ask engaging questions. By doing this, they can ensure that the show is engaging and that the audience is being provided with valuable information. By researching the guest and their area of expertise, the host can make sure that the questions are meaningful and that the conversation is lively. Finally, it is important to take the time to connect with the guest on social media and to read up on their background in order to ensure that the questions are relevant and that the audience is being provided with the best possible information.

I agree, Khudania Ajay ji, that the host needs to do some homework to ask interactive questions to facilitate engaging conversation.

Ask engaging questions. Sounds simple, but not so easy to do. You make it look and feel easy.
