Mobile devices have changed the way we do business. It is making it easier to be on the go instead of trapped at a desk. One area that has been behind the technological curve is podcasting. Yes, you can record podcasts, but editing wasn't easy. Most people would transfer the files back to their computer to do the heavy lifting.
The app Ferrite has made it easier to edit on the go or use your iPad as your main editing device. If you aren't familiar with audio editing, there is a bit of a learning curve for the app. Many times I would open the app and scratch my head and go back to my old way of editing on the desktop.
However, Jason Snell of Six Colors, using Ferrite to edit a lot of his podcasts. After seeing his workflow it makes it so much easier for me to jump in the app. Also, Ferrite does have a series of tutorials you can watch as well, but I prefer to watch someone actually edit a real podcast as opposed to short tutorials.
Take a look at this video and you just may invest the $20 for the app. Yup, to unlock all the features it costs $20, which for what it does is still a steal.
