Podcaster’s Dream “Give Volume to Other Writer's Voices”

Podcaster’s Dream “Give Volume to Other Writer's Voices”

A good “podcast” day is helping others get their “voices” heard

As the infamous host of “Writers on Writers over a Triple Espresso Podcast” and “Cyber Block and Chain with a Touch of Web 3.0,” I often get asked, “Why do you do it?”

Hosting two podcast episodes on Wednesday & Thursday and a technology commentary on Thursdays required significant planning, communication, coordination, and much “espresso!”

In truth, nothing is more important to me than providing “volume” for the other writers to talk about their work. I get great pleasure from seeing the enthusiasm, the passion, and the love writers have for their work.

The podcasts help writers practice talking about their works, give them hope that someone else would take a liking to their books, and demonstrate that people, no matter what diversity in life they come from, honestly want to contribute to their success.

Building and participating in a writers community is essential for every author. Writing is not a team sport. Many authors spend months in their thoughts sitting in a coffee shop, by a lake, or even on a noisy train ride through Portugal.

During the author’s journey, feeling connected to others in the writing world helps reinforce the trip while learning they are not alone.

Since the inception of these podcasts in May 2022, I have had the honor and pleasure of meeting many writers. Every one of them is incredible.

  • From the trucker who pulled over for the podcast.
  • To the Vietnamese child with CHD.
  • To a lady who didn’t miss the boat,
  • To the incredible Scot, who is a Sci-fi guru.
  • To a man who brings cattle prods on a golf course.
  • To a woman who overcame personal and emotional pain to inspire me to help with my life journey.
  • An Afgan-Canada woman would define what it means to do whatever it takes to achieve her dream.
  • To a woman that wrote a story of an ancient warlord that helped me appreciate the history and contributions I never realized.
  • To a dancer in Portugal
  • To a kind gentleman in South America who writes brilliant Japanese Folklore.
  • To a woman from Detroit who defined A-B-C!
  • A young lady in Canada wants to help others with financial management.
  • A dude who made writing and selling a house more exciting.
  • To a lady who became my writing “whisperer.”
  • To my pal, who is going to break lots of bricks!
  • To the ladies who “Boss it up.”
  • To my favorite LA-based singer, thank you for the words.
  • To a young lady who came to America, she became more than she ever expected, even after a rough going.
  • To the lovely couple in Thailand who define the word “love” every day.
  • To the lady in Montreal who hopefully realizes she is an incredible writer.
  • To the Rabbit with the pen, “nothing but love” :)
  • To the women publisher of the CHD magazine for everything she does.

Thank you all for your “30 minutes of espresso time.”

Sharing the Time :)

The greatest thing we can share is our time.

Doing these podcasts is time well spent.

We are going to have so much more coming in 2023 and 2024!

All the best,

Patrick
