I recently sat down with popstar, TV presenter, Queen of Reality TV, turned Only Fans content creator Kerry Katona… to hear all about her life lessons, successes, hardships and how her experiences have shaped her along the way.

Her story is one of huge highs, catastrophic lows, and overcoming severe adversity and trauma, in a life story that Netflix and film studios are currently bidding to put on the big screen!

Lesson One: You can never be beaten, if you keep getting back up

In just a couple of hours that I spent with Kerry recording the podcast, it was clear to me that she has bucket-loads of resilience, strength of character and a fierce determination to overcome any barriers in her way.

?Prior to recording I wasn’t fully aware of her traumatic childhood and the difficulties she faced in some frankly horrendous circumstances growing up, but in front of me sat an infectiously fun, confident and bundle of positive energy that has refused to let any past troubles dictate her story.

?It can be so easy to feel sorry for yourself or play the victim when things go against you, or you feel as though you’ve been dealt a tougher hand than others, but Kerry has absolutely fucking none of it!

?Addicted parents, attending multiple schools and being forced into crime and drugs by those around her at an early age, Kerry never lost her belief that she was going to make a success of herself and work her way to a better life.

?Since becoming a famous pop star she’s encountered bankruptcies, divorces, accountants stealing from her and parts of the media trying to cancel her, but nothing has been able to dampen her drive to keep bouncing back, reinventing herself and make a success of her life.

?She lives and breathes a positive attitude of taking control of your own destiny and not blaming anything or anyone else!

Lesson Two: Market yourself and get out there!

Kerry says she always knew she was going to be famous from a young age, and was determined to make sure she attracted the right opportunities to allow her to be successful.

?As a talented singer and dancer, she made sure she was out performing as much as she could as a teenager, which led to a chance meeting with a music industry exec who spotted her one night and from there the Atomic Kitten band was built, and the rest is history!

Being in the right place at the right time is only possible if you put yourself in scenarios where you could catch a lucky break or chance introduction, and throughout her life she tells of grafting like fuck, putting the hard yards in, and saying yes to as many opportunities as possible.

?You never know who you’re about to meet that could help you on your journey!

Lesson Three: Understand your why

We’re all motivated by different things in life, but whoever you are, you need to understand the main driving force the fuels what you do - that one key reason to get off your ass and work for it, on the days that you’re not sure if you’re quite feeling it!

?In Kerry’s case it’s very clear… everything she does is for her family – and to allow them to create amazing memories together, having adventures all around the world.

?She’s a committed Mum who loves nothing more than being with her kids (and even brought two of her daughters DJ and Lily to the studio with her!).

?Having a clear ‘why’ clears all the doubt from decision making and has meant she can move forward with clarity and purpose. When she was unsure if she should turn her hand to an online Only Fans career when lockdowns hit and her earning potential was threatened, her seeing the big picture of what it could mean for them all as a family allowed a discussion amongst them, and a clear decision of yes let’s do this!

?Fast forward a couple of years and she’s made millions from the platform and continues to fund the lifestyle that she wants for her and her family, and remains motivated to graft every day to provide for them.
