PODCAST: Enjoined OT Rules – Now What?
Eric Meyer
You know the scientist dork in the action movie, the one the government ignores? This employment lawyer helps proactive companies avoid the action sequence.
Really, Eric. Another post about those darn Department of Labor overtime rules?!?
Hold up! This one’s different.
Last week, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) recorded its first overtime-rules podcast: “Enjoined OT Rules – Now What?”
Nancy Hammer, Esq., SHRM’s Senior Government Affairs Policy Counsel, hosted the podcast. With Nancy, were two special guests and a snarky blogger (a/k/a a not-so-special guest).
- Maury Baskin of Littler in Washington, D.C. Maury was one of the lead attorneys responsible for the nationwide injunction against the overtime rules. So, you may want to hear about what he has to say about what happens next.
- Christine Walters, of the FiveL company in Westminster, Md. Christine is a leading voice in the HR community and a fixture at the biggest SHRM conferences. You could learn a thing or two from her.
- And, the other guy.
You can head over to SHRM to check it out or listen/download the 15-minute podcast by clicking here.
