PNE for the Win!

The PNE has been on a winning streak these past twelve months.

In 2023, the 113-year-old organization underwent a rebrand to clarify its message that it was more than an exhibition. Developed with Vancouver, the PNE logo evolved to demonstrate the convergence of opportunities to play, the diverse people who make it possible, the expanding variety of on-site experiences, and the social benefits provided to our community. The PNE hosts many of BC’s most iconic and diverse events, concerts, festivals, and sporting events and is home to Vancouver’s favourite amusement park. Play is at the heart of everything, and the new logo is playful and captures the PNE spirit.


Then, in May of this year, the PNE and Freedom Mobile signed a ten-year naming rights deal for the new covered amphitheatre, which will open in 2026. BC residents will have a chance to vote on the final name for the venue from these four shortlisted names—potential names include the Freedom Mobile Amp, the Freedom Mobile Arch, the Freedom Mobile Rise, and Freedom Mobile Place. When the new venue opens, it will accommodate up to 10,000 spectators and draw more than 340,000 visitors to more than 75 performances annually.

Looking ahead to 2026, when the new venue opens, one of the first significant events it will host will be a portion of the Vancouver FIFA Fan Fest. The fan festival will run from June 11 through July 19, 2026. It promises to offer a non-stop party for soccer fans of all ages as the city co-hosts the world’s biggest sporting event for the first time. The festival dates match the start of the tournament, with two opening games in Mexico on June 11 and the final due to be played in New York on July 19.
