PMRExpo 2024: Shaping the future of secure communication together

[EN] From 26 to 28 November 2024, Cologne will once again become the center for secure mission- and business-critical mobile communications. PMRExpo 2024 will once again offer a unique forum for networking and secure communication solutions for BOS, KRITIS and business.

More than 260 exhibitors from over 20 countries will present innovations, products and solutions from all relevant areas - from application solutions, control center and security technology to infrastructure elements and device accessories.

Key topics of the trade fair:

- BOS: The focus is on the latest innovations and solutions for secure, high-availability communication for police, fire and rescue services. Among other things, the trade fair will show how LTE and 5G technologies increase efficiency, security and responsiveness and provide information on the transition from narrowband to broadband.

- Control centers: PMRExpo is the meeting place for the control center community. Leading providers, users and experts present innovations and discuss modernization projects, the switch to broadband, the use of AI and much more.

- Critical infrastructures: Innovative communication solutions to increase the availability and efficiency of essential services in energy, transport and public utilities will be presented. The focus is on protection against cyber threats and maximizing system reliability.

- Critical IoT: PMRExpo 2024 will also showcase technologies such as 5G and LPWAN, which are crucial for reliable IoT connectivity. They form the basis for a wide range of IoT applications and will be made tangible on site with practical examples and solutions.

- Private 5G campus networks: At the trade fair and summit, visitors can expect comprehensive insights into the planning, implementation and operation of high-availability 5G campus networks as well as comprehensive information on the interaction of various products, applications and players in the 5G ecosystem.

New special area: 5G Hub for Private Networks

At the new special area, companies will use realistic miniature models and practical demonstrations to show the potential of private 5G campus networks. The focus will be on sharing practical experience and use cases from the intralogistics and BOS sectors, among others.

PMRExpo Summit

The three-day PMRExpo Summit will take place alongside the trade fair, where experts will present and discuss the latest developments and best practice examples from secure mission- and business-critical communication.

November 26: Private 5G campus networks. From regulatory framework conditions, compliance aspects and concrete business opportunities to best practices and dos & don'ts during implementation.

November 27: BOS/Public Safety and KRITIS. From the current status and future of broadband BOS and satellite-based communication to the KRITIS umbrella law and an agile approach to requirements engineering.

November 28: Control centers. From control centers from the cloud, barrier-free emergency calls, the use of artificial intelligence in control centers to the use of drones for preliminary reconnaissance.
