This post is in continuation with my PMP journey based on the request from PMP aspirants. This will help the folks who wanted to be PMP certified be it whatever stage they are.
FOR FOLKS YET TO START THE PREPARATION:
Please get started to prepare by spending minimum of 1 hr during the weekday and 2 hrs in weekend. This will help you bring to study mode. Those who find it very tough to get that 1 hr time in your busy schedule, then try to do Value stream Mapping and identify the non-value added time and try to utilize that for your study time. As in my case, I felt I couldn’t get that 1 hr time during weekdays along with managing my work and family. So I started waking up early and spent 1 hr during initial first week and increased to 2 hrs in the subsequent week and then increased to 3 hrs in the next weeks. It was like no disturbance would be there for me during that study time from 3 am to 6 am during weekdays and I spent min of 6 hrs during weekend and that helped me to complete all my study and mockups in 6 weeks of time and help me secure my PMP certification.
Also you can use Pomodoro technique to help you stay focussed and study for a longer time.
FOR EDUHUBSPOT STUDENTS:
As we have Daily assignments and deadlines, please ensure you complete it before deadlines as I felt immense pleasure in completing ahead of the deadline. This will also help to plan when other unplanned tasks comes in so that at the worst case, we will meet the deadlines and will not miss the deadlines. Altogether all these will help us to be exam ready quicker.
Please ensure to take Regular notes of Varun’s video and bootcamp notes in 1 book and important keywords which they call out separately at the back of the book. These keywords will help you while revising the concepts while preparing for mocks and before the exam. You can either write the notes or log in digital way. But I felt like concepts were entering into my mind while writing it.
FOR FOLKS ATTENDING BOOT CAMP:
Ensure that you definitely making it to attend the boot camps. Though recordings would be shared later, its not easier to go through the long recordings at later point and it would be good to attend the live classes.
FOR EDUHUBSPOT STUDENTS WHO ARE DOING THE MOCKS:
Time Box your revising schedule as we might tend to delay getting started with the mocks by keep on revising.
Start attempting the mock as per your study plan available hrs. instead of waiting for complete 4 hr to take up the mock in 1 stretch. You can take up the full stretch mocks at later stage after scheduling your exam.
Ensure to review the incorrect answers as well as the correct answers to confirm your understanding. Also take notes on the areas where you went wrong under the section where you note the keywords. Revising these again will help you to score better mocks in the upcoming mocks.
If you score min of 60% in all the Eduhubspot mocks, be rest assured that you will clear the actual PMP.
Don’t miss to take up the Eduhubspot Question of the day which appears in the website.
FOR THOSE WHO ARE ABOUT TO FILL THE APPLICATION:
While filling your application, please ensure to give your first name and last name as in your Govt issued ID card which has your signature. Please note that Aadhar is not accepted as valid proof as it doesn’t have your sign. Kindly pay attention to this.

FOR THOSE WHO COMPLETED APPLICATION:
Once you completed your preparation, ensure you take up the necessary mocks and try giving 2 full length mock. Each mock in 1 stretch simulating the actual PMP exam with 2 breaks after every 60 questions. This helps you to assess how much time it takes and will help you in time management during the exam. While taking up mocks, I completed before 60 mins and in real exam I completed before 75 mins.
FOR THOSE WHO ARE ABOUT TO SCHEDULE THE EXAMS:
Once you completed the mockups and as advised by Gautham, please go ahead and book the exam dates as getting the Dates availability in the centers is not immediate as we expect, and it takes almost 2 weeks. So, once you are ready, please choose the date first and continue with your preparation meanwhile.
Once dates are chosen, you can reschedule at free of cost when exam days are greater than 30 days. You need to pay 8k for rescheduling within 3 to 30 days. You can’t reschedule the exam at any cost just before 2 days of the exam.
Always ensure to take the exam from Pearson centre.
FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BOOKED THE EXAM DATES:
Please ensure you have complete 8 hrs sleep in the previous night. Ensure to take 2 Govt issued ID cards which has the names as in the PMP application.
Ensure to reach 30 mins before to the Pearson centre
Take 2 chocolates and walnut to consume during the break time to open up your mind. Take deep breath during the break.
FOR THOSE WHO HAVE GIVEN THE EXAMS:
As per the new Pearson rules, you will be notified of the exam results through email within 5 business days from the date you have taken the exam.
But as per the current pattern observed, if you have chosen morning slot IST at any PEARSON centre, you would get your results around mid-night on the same day and if you have chosen evening slot, you would get your results around midnight of second day.
Don’t be stressed during this WAIT time and you will be happy on seeing your results.
“When you feel like quitting, think about why you started”
If I can then you can. Have confidence in you and rock the exam!!!!?
