Wonder.. We talk of PMO setup, governance, monitoring , performance of project. But at root level how many SMEs, MSMEs, (small enterprises) do have a PMO for their organizations. Does it mean they dont need it .. Or On the contrary they dont bother for its extra cost w/o realizing the cost saved. Further a group of SMEs / MSMEs can also have a common PMO.

8 年They most likely don't need the PMOs. Good project managers would be enough to keep the show going. After a certain number of concurrent projects does it make sense for SMEs to start looking at the viability of a CoE and then a PMO.
Many of the activities performed by a PMO will still exist within these organisations, it is just likely that it is not cost effective to have a separate PMO.
