About PMEGP

• PMEGP is a Central Sector Scheme i.e Administered by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Mo MSME) and Implemented by Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) and District Industries Centers (DICs).
• Applicable : For 5 Years from FY 2021-22 to FY 2025-26.
• A Budget of Rs. 13,554.42 Crore Approved for 5 Years to Set up 4 Lakhs Projects with Creation of 30 lakh Employment.

Project Cost

Allowable Project Cost For Subsidy Purpose:

• For manufacturing unit : Rs.50.00 lakhs
• For Service Unit : Rs.20.00 lakhs

Note :? Cost of Land will not be included in the Project Cost. Projects beyond Rs. 50.00 Lacs can be eligible but subsidy shall be restricted on Project Cost up to Rs. 50.00 Lacs only.?

Eligibility Conditions of Applicant’s

• Any individual, above 18 years of age.
• Beneficiaries should possess at least 8th Standard pass Educational Qualification.
• Only one Person from one Family is Eligible (Self and Spouse)

Main Criteria of Projects

• Should fall under Rural Area (For Rural Project Subsidy)
• Per Capita Fixed Investment does not exceeds Rs. 3 Lakhs.
• Should meet the Criteria of Own Fund Contribution (10% / 5%)
• Not Covered in Negative List
• New Units
• EDP Training Required

Bank Funding

• The project costing up to Rs.10.00 lakhs under PMEGP loans are free from collateral security.
• The CGTMSE provided collateral guarantee for the project upto Rs. 2.00 Crore.
• Subsidy lock-in period is 3 years, after this Subsidy Amount will be adjusted from Bank Loan.

Negative List

• Business connected with Meat.
• Activity prohibited by Local Govt.
• Polythene / Carry bags.
• Cultivation of Crops.
• Animal Husbandry.
• Farming Activities.
