Throughout our history we have shown a willingness to go against the grain when we strongly believe in a concept. In 1998, we saw an opportunity to enter an interesting new space with the purchase of a frozen crustless sandwich maker. The idea was simple enough – peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are among the most popular and what could be better than enjoying one without any of the work to prepare it? Even though the investment wasn’t universally applauded, we were confident in the idea. With that said, the launch and nurturing of Smucker’s? Uncrustables? was not without its hiccups. Perfecting the unique structure and process took some time and we definitely learned through our mistakes. That continued commitment has resulted in a strong return as Uncrustables have become a favorite of many consumers.

Celebrating Women's Equality Day in Scottsville with our GROW Employee Resources Group. Recently, our GROW ERG sponsored a Women's Equality Day celebration by hosting a tabling event that offered educational resources around voting and Women's Equality Day history. GROW used this event to raise money for our Q2 Great Day Initiative community partner - Allen County DECA & FBLA and offer a fun photo experience with the Uncrustable Bread Brothers!

For our first quarter this Fiscal Year, our GROW (Greater Resources and Opportunities for Women) ERG chose our recipient for the Great Day Initiative. Our team was able to donate $2,171.00 and many physical items to BRASS. Thank you to all of our employees for working safe, working hard, and coming together to support our community!
