On Pluto's Collab in Aquarius

(Disclaimer: Because I believe that, even on LinkedIn, our content is great when it's a whole-human mix of professional and personal stuff, you'll see posts from me about things like music, life in Mexico (and memories of life in Nicaragua), music, nature, and astrology. ??)

Happy Aquarius Szn, everyone, and — more specifically —?Pluto in Aquarius Szn. The celestial body associated with transformation, power, shadow work, and the unconscious finally crossed over into Aquarius over the weekend (and, it was a Cazimi event —?Pluto conjunct Sun. (I touched on Cazimi earlier this month, here).

I'm super excited for this Pluto-in-Aquarius time to come. Pluto's transformations can be dramatic, but the transit comes at a critical and needed time. It's spent the last 15 years passing through Capricorn — a sign associated with systems and structure and material things. I'm a believer that astrology is best as a mirror vs. predictive (h/t [Ixchel Lunar](https://www.dhirubhai.net/feed/#)) When it crossed over into Cap in 2008, it was just after the housing bubble burst. Think about power structures that were brought into the sunlight or transformed over the last 15 years...

In Aquarius, we shift focus to the collective. Collaboration. Collective care. Dignity for more people. Perhaps we'll see new structures and systems emerge during Pluto's time in Aquarius that include and support the whole of humanity. Radical transformations of society and a more intentional shift toward humanitarianism. The last time it passed through Aquarius, we had the American and French Revolutions and the Industrial Revolution (the latter, as a whole, not the friend of the people that the powers that be have sold us).

Pluto in Aquarius is associated with themes of technology or science, power, and the collective. So an auspicious time coming up for new ideas to emerge that address the climate crisis, access to dignified and more equitable work, and more. It'll be a ripe time for collective processing and discussion about how things like AI will impact the global community and economy —?and some amazing innovations to emerge, to the benefit of the people (and not just the 1% or corporate overlords).

And, hopefully, we see a dramatic shift away from old white men controlling everything. In her most recent Dragon Letters offering, Ixchel Lunar reflected beautifully on what this could mean or look like for the Millennials (including our two Millennial kids) who are inheriting this global mess and collective trauma. Check that out here, and definitely subscribe to Dragon Letters on her Substack. You'll thank me later.

I hope it's a time of upheaval in which the younger generations (Millennial and Gen Z) really get in there, stir some sh*t up, take over, and shift the balance of power from the few to the many. Apologies for the mess.

On the topic of workforce development, many believe that we'll see a dramatic shift toward more and more and more distributed work systems. I believe that's true and I'm excited to support that. It's a ripe (and, obviously, long overdue) time for a massive, public rise of women, BIPOC/indigenous, and Queer Founders, investors, CEOs, and innovators. I hope it's also a time in which Cooperative and B-Corp business models accelerate and are adopted more widely. I hope it's a time of increased listening and empathy.

For me, Pluto in Capricorn (3rd house) was really about reviewing, analyzing, and doing unconscious work around daily routines and communication (in a house ruled by my natal Gemini as well). Unpacking for another time. In Aquarius, Pluto's gifts shift for me toward the 4th house of home, ancestral relationships and wisdom, and rootedness — to carry me and Ixchel into our more Golden Years.

Now, to be fair, Pluto will station retrograde in May and cross back into Capricorn Sept 1 for a cup of coffee before moving back into Aquarius in mid-November, where it'll be until 2043. So the work we're doing around collective care and transformation will get a little review. Those few weeks back in Capricorn also include the Presidential election in the U.S., so an interesting few weeks where we'll get re-review those systems and structures that need upheaval — before we get back to the serious work of transforming for the collective.

There are a ton of themes and threads we can pull on when it comes to the archetypes of Pluto in Aquarius and what transformations are on the horizon. For sure I'll be watching, noticing, composting, and reflecting on it throughout 2024.

For now, just wanted to share what was bubbling up and dip these writing fingers and toes into what's to come for us all with Pluto in Aquarius. Let's get in there together, do a better job of listening and shifting, roll up our sleeves, and support a more just, more equitable, and exciting era of innovation!

It is so refreshing to come across content like this on LinkedIn. It was my pleasure reading it. As a Capricorn, I'm finally relieved.
