WE ARE SHOWING at Melbourne Fashion Week this year!!!!?(Cue – “finally” by CeCe Peniston https://youtu.be/xk8mm1Qmt-Y).
I cannot tell you how excited we are to be showcasing our pieces at an event like this. It's a dream come true. ALL my life I have attended Fashion weeks watching beautiful fashion walk the runway, but sadly knowing that nothing that I was seeing would come in my size .
But this year that is it changing, with our Australian Made brand being chosen to walk the runway among 9 other fabulous premium designer brands – this is not only a WIN for us, but for every single woman who, like me, has left a fashion show feeling rejected by society and the fashion space because of their size. I will be packing tissues because I know there will be no holding back my tears of joy, for me and for anyone that has felt excluded in the past.
?@Harlow_au will walk alongside @collectiveclosets @corepret @joslin_studio @kuwaii @mickyinthevan @studiopfeiffer @torannce @wearekindred & @vowstudio.melbourne .
?We are hoping that as a lot of these brands cater to a size 16, (along with Kawai recently extending their sizes to a 22) and Harlow going to a 26 that the models cast by MFW will be size diverse. Showing us that Fashion is for everyone!
?We believe strongly in this; we regularly do campaigns using our customers (https://www.harlowstore.com/blogs/news/we-want-you-campaign-2-wrap-up) . Our aim with our customer campaigns is to showcase the everyday women who wear Harlow, to be able to have our images in our socials and our messaging to reflect the women who back us, with every purchase they make. To show everyone of the women that chooses to support us that they matter, that women come in all shapes, heights, sizes, and that each of us can rock an outfit with style.
?PLUS, ON THE RUNWAY is SO OVERDUE! It is 2021 and we should be seeing diversity down the runway of all kinds, runways should be reflecting our society, NO EXCUSES!

Unless I am mistaken, this is the first time that a plus-size fashion brand has shown in the main festival at one of the headline runways - something definitely worth celebrating.
If your in Melbourne come watch this history-making event happen, another step in the right direction.
Slowly but surely fashion is changing for the better.
