Pleasure & Pain, Loss & Gain is all life

Pleasure & Pain, Loss & Gain is all life

Spiritually said, all the suffering and pleasure both are the result of the cycle of bhog. The more attached we become to sensory objects , more is the impact of either suffering or pleasure. But what are they, they are just states of mind. These states of mind can be analysed by a different “you “ , the observer - who demarcates and categorizes them based on their intensity. If you look closely, every pleasure is a form of suffering since it is temporal, binds you further to your needs and leaves you longing for more. Whereas suffering is the result of unmet expectations, it is also the result of less or no pleasure ( lack of pleasure ).

So in essence, suffering and pleasure are not different. They just vary in degrees. So how can we determine if life consists of more pain or pleasure ? We as human beings are programmed to get attached to worldly objects and to respond to stimuli, we are bound to get some needs met and some unmet, leading to varying degrees of pleasure ( less suffering ) or suffering ( less pleasure ). The problem lies in identification with that state of mind - pleasure or suffering. That state of mind taken as a whole, it can be concluded that if we are attached to our desires and expectations we get more suffering in life. However, if we are detached and perform our tasks without expectations life is more pleasurable.

It is always the human perception towards that particular thing. I’ll explain with example. On my way to Job I use a flyover which is under construction recently so what happens is only one side of flyover is used by both way traffic so one side has to wait 15–20 minutes to get their chance to cross flyover. It increased the travelling time by almost 1.5 hours due to traffic now, Situation 1: One person gets stuck in traffic gets irritated with it and shouts and puts blame on the society and traffic rules because of which he is very irritated whole day and cant work properly due to all this stress.

Situation 2: Other person prepares himself for the traffic, downloads his films and music to watch and carry a Novel to read so he enjoys in traffic as he got the time to do something which he would not have got normally. As we see from above 2 situations that it totally depends on the person he takes the thing as suffering or pleasure. It is always the way you respond to situations leads to Outcome.

You are more than 10000 years old and you have got the chance to visit this beautiful planet earth. Here is how. DNA that is you are having is transferred from one generation to other that way if you are here on this planet that means your DNA is as old as human species. Once you feel the gratitude to your parents who gave you chance to experience this beautiful planet, you will see the magic of emotions. Gratitude and forgiveness these are two emotions if you apply time to time then life is not suffering it is a bliss.

Life is neither bliss nor a curse. It all depends on how you react to life situations. All depend on your belief level. If you are an awakened being, then every problem is an opportunity for you. It all depends on the way we take on things. Suffering is also not something wrong or to be loathed. Without pain, life is incomplete. Suppose you have all the time the moment of aha, then what will you learn. It is the suffering and challenges that teach us the vital lesson of life. Life is a mixed halo of bliss and curse, and we must take on it head-on. To make it precise, life is suffering where momentarily pleasures are spattered here and there. But your perspective has the power to change it into less suffering process. You should have an understanding of what you are, what people around you are what you want from life etc. Cheers!
