Pleased to dispel some myths
The Perception Project of the UN Office at Geneva (UNOG) led by DG Tatiana Valovaya recently initiated a project to help dispel gender-based stereotypes and show women from all over the world successfully working and leading in professions traditionally associated only with men.
This powerful photo exhibition goes a long way to fight these stereotypes and support successful women around the world working in these professions.
I am very pleased that UNICC could contribute to this effort and we had a chance to showcase some colleagues in this photo exhibition. In an strong show of support, several male colleagues (who happen to be very handy with a camera) took these photos.
The photos and the comments from the colleagues in the pictures, I hope, start to tell a good story about how we are making every effort to ensure UNICC welcomes and supports strong capable colleagues from all backgrounds, nationalities, gender, religion and sexual orientation.
