Please take time to relax and dream...
It's a new year --- feeling a bit overwhelmed? Here are some tips that you may want to consider trying. 1. Journal without filtering. Get it all out in a safe way --- in a passworded document perhaps. 2. Use progressive relaxation every day as well as when you are feeling stressed. 3. Deep breathing is important. 4. Setting realistic goals --- dream board cutting out magazines or on a computer program like powerpoint. Whatever works for you. 5. Take a brisk walk. 6. Play some relaxing music or put nature sounds on. 7. Plant something. or Create something - crafty. 8. Do some colouring, painting to express how you are feeling. 9. Brainstorm ideas of ways to have more fun; more belly laughs. 10. Look at where you want to be in 1, 5, 10 years and make a plan (realistic, and changeable). 11. Go through yellow pages of ideas of fun things, new courses of action, resources, other jobs to research or what to develop.
