Please support Rail Aid
The coronavirus pandemic has not only affected us all, it’s had huge impact on the potential for charities to raise funds. A positive news story is the work being done by @RailwayChildren to help vulnerable street children and bring the #railwayfamily together for #RailAid. The virtual fundraiser is running from now until the appeal broadcast #RailAidLive starting at 6.30pm on Friday 27 November 2020.
Siemens Mobility Limited is backing this initiative as are many other companies and industry leaders including the Rail Minister, @chris-heaton-harris.
Now we often talk about the #railwayfamily and how we all look out for each other. Here’s an opportunity for us all to act as a family and protect children. This is how you can get involved…
1. Get people signed up for Rail Aid Live. Getting people to tune in to the live event, which promises to offer plenty of laughs on what would otherwise be a dark and dreary November evening, is a really important part of the fundraising drive.
2. Participate in the week’s events from Sunday 22 to Friday 27 November 2020 – whether that’s a quiz with Sir Peter Hendy, online bingo, or some of the other options
3. Donate and bid in the Gala Auction. There are some unique lots you may be interested in and there are plenty of affordable options
4. Take on #fundraising challenges such as #commityourcommute
5. Make any #donations you can - every little helps!
I’m proud to be part of an industry that is helping to change lives. Please do what you can to make a difference. www.railaid.co.uk
