PLEASE SIGN MY RTD NOMINATING PETITION
Doug Tisdale
Advocate. Attorney. Actor. Past Chair and Director, Regional Transportation District - Denver. Past Mayor, Cherry Hills Village, Colorado. Chair, Denver Downtown Development Authority.
Dear Friends,
Greetings! I am running for re-election as your RTD Board Director for RTD District H. In order to be on the ballot again, and because this is a non-partisan position, I need to gather 250 signatures from District H registered voters on my Nominating Petition.
In light of the COVID pandemic, the Governor and the Secretary of State have established rules to authorize electronic signature gathering for Nominating Petitions. Understandably, people may be reluctant to answer the door to a masked stranger (or even a friend) with a pen and a petition.
If you are a registered voter in District H (see the MAP in the picture above), I am asking you to be so kind as to sign my Nominating Petition for this non-partisan elected office.
The instructions are easy!
1. Print out the Nominating Petition form set out below.
2. Under “SIGNER INFORMATION,” fill in your first name, middle initial, and last name. (Please PRINT your information.) Then fill in your street address, city, county and state. Read the “Signer Statement” on the form. Then sign and date the form. Please sign in ink. No electronic signatures. (REMEMBER to fill in all your information the way you did when you registered to vote.
3. Then you can just TAKE A PICTURE of the form and email the picture back to me. (If you are more technically adept, you can scan the form and email the scanned image back to me: [email protected].)
That’s all there is to it! No messing around with someone knocking at your door and handing you pen and petition that have been touched by dozens of other people.
I really need your help and I respectfully ask that you please sign my petition. More information about me is included below.
PLEASE NOTE! Print out extra copies for all of the registered voters in your household so that everyone can show their support. You can return them separately OR in one email with all the attachments. If the form won't print out for you, email me at [email protected] and I'll send you one directly!
Thank you very much!

DOUG TISDALE ANNOUNCES RTD BOARD RE-ELECTION BID
--CENTENNIAL, CO. RTD Director Doug Tisdale has formally announced his campaign for re-election to the Regional Transportation District (RTD) Board, to serve a second four-year term as Board Director of RTD District H, which includes Cherry Hills Village, Greenwood Village, Centennial, Littleton, Columbine Valley and Highlands Ranch. Tisdale, who is the former Cherry Hills Mayor, is a seasoned expert in transportation issues and has served two terms as Chairman of the RTD Board (2018 and 2019), having previously been an Executive Officer of the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG), where he served for 11 years.
Doug’s engagement with transportation has continued to grow. He serves on the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), the leading organization addressing public transportation and transit issues. He is the Chair of APTA’s Transit Board Members Legislative Committee.
“For over 15 years I have worked on improving transportation options in the Denver region, with RTD, CDOT, APTA, DRCOG, the Colorado Municipal League, the Metro Mayors Caucus and numerous federal agencies,” Tisdale said. “In my first term as RTD Board Director, I have overseen the opening of the SouthEast Rail Extension for the E, F and R Lines, the opening of the G Line, the creation of innovative partnerships with Uber and Lyft, the testing of autonomous buses, and the preservation of much-needed bus service in Highlands Ranch, while creating and nurturing great relationships with all the elected leaders throughout the region and the many agencies with which we worked, giving me a unique capacity to continue that work with RTD for another four years,” Tisdale concluded.
RTD District H Board Director Doug Tisdale was elected to the RTD Board in 2016 by 77,000 votes and, if re-elected on November 3 in the General Election, will serve on the RTD Board through 2024.

Nonpartisan Race. The office of RTD Board Director, like municipal offices, is nonpartisan. “I enjoy the benefit of actually being able to get things done for our region without being beholden to any political party and have earned the endorsement of Republican, Democratic and Unaffiliated voters and leaders around Colorado,” Tisdale said. The RTD Board election will be on November 3, 2020 as part of the general election in Colorado this year.
