**Please Read** NHS Staff under enormous pressure with Covid19 - My Hero!

This girl deserves a medal! Sarah is a Snr Nurse for Great Ormond Street Hospital and specialises in paediatrician, looking after babies and children. She is so caring and loving, it’s inspiring.

She voluntarily took herself out of danger to be redeployed a month ago to help fight Covid at the Royal London Free Hospital. She has been looking after 4 really sick patients at a time who are on life support (the normal recommended ratio should be 1:1).

She is up at 5:30am every morning and doesn’t get home until 9:30pm most evenings. She is doing extra shifts just to make sure there is enough staff to help. She is doing on average 12000 steps a day! She is so overwhelmed by the number of patients she is running from bedside to bedside, just to keep them alive so they can go home to their loved ones - these families are so worried about their family members who they cannot visit in hospital. What an awful time for them all.

Her mental health is being constantly challenged and breaks down in tears every evening I pick her up from the station because of all the awful things she is seeing on a daily basis. Her skin on her hands is so sore and are flakey from disinfecting and the use of PPE.

I just want to tell anyone who thinks that this virus is a conspiracy, or that it’s not as bad as the government is making out, or that the numbers have been over cooked - you are wrong. And if you are going about your day to day in ignorance then you could be the reason for someone's poor nana dying or worse still, it maybe someone else close to you? Only 1 in 3 people have symptoms so if you fall into this category you could be putting others at risk.

I am so ashamed of our government and specifically Boris Johnson for not giving our nurses a pay rise - it’s an absolute disgrace to our Country - my little hero isn’t even English, she is from Germany. Yet here she is, in the middle of a pandemic, getting her arsed served to her on a plate on a daily basis, helping to save lives, showing up to every single shift to get it served to her again. How does she do it?

I am so so so proud of this girl, words cannot explain. I am so happy to be getting married to this girl. What an absolute hero!
