Millennials brings no value! #MillennialInAction

Millennials brings no value! #MillennialInAction

8 years ago today... This  #millennial dive into this space called - Facilitation and Training.

I was just a young boy (still am!) that wanted to find a part time job to earn some extra bucks. A young boy that wanted to do something cool! A young boy that wanted to meet a lot of different people!

I can still clearly remember where and when it started.

Its a journey that I have never ever regretted.
Its a journey that gave me the satisfaction which not everyone can understand.
Its a journey that truly matters to me.

There were days of disappointment when teachers or clients questioned your actions but only we trainers/facilitators knows why we do certain things or if I can say, the unorthodox.

But there were also days where you felt so damn bloody rich not because of a multi-billion dollar client but because of the satisfaction you got from the gratitude, attention and reaction you received during those debriefing.

After 8 years, I continue to present myself as someone that is new and someone that is still raw because that is when people around you will feel that they can and willing to share what they know instead of feeling "inferior".

Past years "anniversary" , I will tend to tag names of individuals that have impacted or allowed me to be where I am. You know who you are. Allow me to focus differently this year.

For today, I hope to put across that I can be young in age (I am just 24 this year! Gotcha!) but please do not see me as a young chap just like any other fresh grad because you know what, I have a lot to offer. I hope that did not come across boastful (typically Asian will see it that way ) instead it is a sense of #conviction, #confidence and a #voice that needs to be heard!

OPPORTUNITIES!

I am thankful for the abundance of opportunity to be engaged by organisation such Ministry of Education, Ministry of Defence, DHL Asia Pacific, Deloitte SG, Community Justice Centre, HRMAsia, MediaCorp Suria and a few other production house.

I am glad to be able to take up various roles which enhances and utilizes my gift of gap - facilitator, trainer, moderator, panelist or even guest speaker!

So what's next for me? What is it that this millennial still wanna talk about or share about?

I am looking for opportunity and platform to:

  • Engage more millennial out there to equip them with skill sets which are not usually thought in school
  • Speak at events about Millennial and Future forward
  • Educate employees about this generation that they NEED
  • Train and provide interview skills for ex-convicts
  • Engage more youth
This is not your ordinary millennial or youth.

In Faith & Belief,

#ThatMillennialMalayBoy
