To my right is Bahauddin from Iraq and to my left is Daniel from Sudan.? Both underwent kidney Transplant on the same day. Bahauddin chose Robotic kidney Transplant and Daniel underwent open kidney transplant. On the morning rounds I found both of them in single waiting-area for their discharge. ?
-??In acute kidney failure -recovery is possible and in chronic kidney failure we need lifelong replacement either dialysis or kidney Transplant.
-??Main reason for ESRD are DM, HTN, Glomerulonephritis and autoimmune. Some patients ignore kidney stones, infections of kidney and use painkillers to damage their kidneys.
-??Kidney Donors: As per law (HOTA) only first-degree relatives can donate kidney.
-? Precautions: Yearly health checks, stop drugs / smoking / eat healthy / drink plenty / and of course always be happy.
