I was the photographer shouting all over Facebook 'come buy my product'. Nobody listened - but those that did were the tyre-kickers.
Instead, of shouting - own the problem - and position your product as the solution
And then watch the value of that product go up.
Your product/service is only useful IF IT SOLVES A PROBLEM - and only then will the perceived value go up.
So when you invite your audience into a story, talk about HOW your product/service solves a problem.
In fact, imagine this scenario.
You've been working with a client for a couple of months, you're about to leave the house for in-person networking - the phone rings.
You take the call.
It's your client.
She had been dreading the weekend because it was going to be full of visitors popping in and out, and she knew her dog would jump up at every single one of them on arrival.
Except he didn't.
She had put into practice EVERYTHING that the two of you had been learning, practicing, and rehearsing over the past couple of months - and the weekend had gone like a dream.
The call ends. You're feeling quite chuffed - and head off to networking.
You've now rocked up at your networking meeting. You walk into the room, grab a coffee and walk over to a group of women who are busy chatting.
? How's your month been? ? they ask.
Despite the urge to give a considered response, you blurt out the phone call you've just had with your client.

They're hooked.
You're taking them with you - into the story of how miserable life was for your client - how she used to dread visitors turning up at her door and now she's just had this AMAZING weekend full of people popping in and out and BOOM!
The problem - the solution
And that’s how the value of YOUR product goes up - when you own the problem and position it as the solution.
Some homework for you:
?? Take some time to reflect on clients you've worked with
?? Why did they come to you - what problem were you solving?
?? How did the problem affect their life and how did you solve it?
?? And what does life look like now for them?
We can dive deeper into this.
