PLC Simulators/Emulators
Has anyone seen a decent PLC simulator that is not tied to a major manufacturer? I have used A-B's emulators and Siemens PLCSim, but I am looking for something that you don't need actual licensed programming software for. Maybe something by CodeSys or PLCOpen? If anyone is interested, I wish to develop a programming package that can be made to look like various brands by substituting address labels like B3:x/x or N7:x, Mx.x, DBx.DBWx, %Ix.x etc. I can already do this using A-B's ControlLogix and aliasing but I'd like to find something not connected to one of the big guys. At first I'm not even worried about actually running the program, just editing, but eventually I'd like to tie it to a PLC Engine of some kind. Any good candidates?

8 年Frank I am not sure if this is what Tyler is referring to, but I think it might be the Easy Veep simulator that I told you about. You can use Rslogix, Step 7, or whatever you want, but you have to buy their Easy Port. I am not sure of their price, but I can find out. Here is the website: https://easyveep.com

8 年I don't want to connect with a PLC or any other hardware controller, I want to run the logic entirely in software. I also want to be able to use tags and aliasing so I can make the addresses look like any brand of PLC.
