"Today is a new day and it brings with it a new set of opportunities for me to act on.
I am attentive to the opportunities and I seize them as they arise.
I have full confidence in myself and my abilities.
I can do all things that I commit myself to.
No obstacle is too big or too difficult for me to handle because what lies inside me is greater than what lies ahead of me.
I am committed to improving myself and I am getting better daily.
I am not held back by regret or mistakes from the past.
I am moving forward daily.
Absolutely nothing is impossible for me." - Idowu Koyenikan,
I apologize for not updating you about my journey in the past few weeks.?
I intend to share this my noob to tech journey, you know, like creating or growing in public. It keeps me accountable.?
Sharing my process is not just about giving updates, it's also about keeping me on track on this path.
But the thing is this - since porting from my initial Software Engineering course with ALX, I have been running two tech programs simultaneously.?
I am currently running Back-end development and Data analytics programs together.?
Do you know why??
The ALX program is better for people with intermediate tech knowledge. Starting with that rigorous system as a beginner prepared me to do hard things and gave me a thick skin.?
So when I started the Backend development program which is suitable for me as a beginner and with a less rigorous system, I decided to start Data Analytics too, so that I'll keep up the pace of the rigours I got used to with ALX.?
Also, considering that I came late to the party of technical skills development, it's my way of playing catch-up, that is, to acquire two in-demand tech skills within the same time frame.
And you know what??
Although it's swallowing up my time, I'm loving the experience.?
Data analytics is quite interesting.?
I love the fact that both courses use some similar programming languages.?

By the way, I am ready to start putting my newly acquired skills to work through remote internships. I have hands-on skills in Excel, HTML, CSS and Bootstrap; currently on Python.
Asides from the technical skills, I also bring my experience in customer relations, communication, attention to detail, ability to work with minimal or no supervision and maturity to the table.
If you or anyone in your network needs a Back-end developer or Data Analyst intern, kindly contact or refer me via a direct message on LinkedIn or Email.
I need to master these skills by working on projects as I learn better by doing.
On running two tech programs side-by-side, I know you may want to ask how I do it.
First, I have a timetable which I keep strictly to. I am rigid on that one??. If a situation is not life-threatening, it can't and won't derail my timetable.?
The different alarms I set up on my phone are my timekeepers.
I dedicate Mondays to Wednesdays to a program and Thursdays to Saturdays to the other. My family owns Sundays??.
So far, it's been interesting. I find tech intriguing, I wish I had gone into the industry much earlier.
I have tried my hand at creating a few web pages with Bootstrap, just for practice, trying to master the skills. Soon, I'll create my portfolio.
I'm grinding with grit!
I'll rap this up with another quote from Idowu Koyenikan:
"You must have a level of discontent to feel the urge to want to grow."
I challenge you to feel discontent with stagnancy and get consumed with the need to grow!
Till my next update…???
