You’re a closer.
You joined a new sales team.
It’s week 1.
You have a decision to make.
Are you going to sit around and wait for leadership to get you to KPI and making money?
OR
Are you going to take it into your own hands, control your income, and? be a true asset to the team.
Most sales people take option 1, making it easier than ever to stand out on almost any offer.
Delete the notion of a pure inbound show up and close role and adopt the mindset of being a full cycle sales rep.
If you want to show that you’re an A player to a new team, if you want to make as much as the top 1% of all sales people in your industry, if you want to have nearly total income control.?

Take it.
How?
Your first week on the offer they usually won’t completely stack your calendar.
They want to first see if you’ll bring a good ROI, if this will be a profitable relationship.
The faster you can do that. The faster you solidify your position, get better leads, and make more money.
So in that first week, while you’re learning, training, and taking reduced call volume, simply ask for access to the old leads.
As soon as possible, start self-setting your own appointments, and close deals that the business thought were dead.
There is usually thousands if not millions of dollars sitting in the pipelines of most companies.
Learn how to utilize it and skip the long ramp up, take control of your income, and develop the skills needed for longevity as a true sales professional.
