Play By RULES Or Have It ALL

RULES are one of the main reasons why people DON’T have what they want…
“I am not supposed to do it that way…”
“I was told I can’t…”
“I don’t want to get in trouble…”
Here’s what I think about people who play by the rules…
THEY ARE SCARED!
THEY OPERATE FROM FEAR!
THEY ARE UNSURE OF THEIR ABILITY!
It’s easy to blame the RULES for not having what you want…
It’s easy to point fingers at the RULES when you fall short…
It’s easy to censor how you truly feel because the RULES are making that normal…
But all I know is that the people who have what you want…
ARE MAKING THEIR OWN RULES!
They are not waiting for permission…
They are not waiting to be told they can or can’t…
They are not looking for someone to give them a YES or NO…
They give themselves permission, they say can or can’t and they boldly declare YES or NO regardless of what the “RULES” say…
I remember a number of years ago I was speaking with an extremely successful chiropractor and I asked him…
“How did you do it?”
His response was filled with decisiveness…
“I MAKE THE RULES!”
He then went on to say that other chiropractors in the state are afraid to market the way he markets, bill the way he bills, and say the things he says…
NOTHING he did was against the law for the record…
But there were “RULES” that gave every other chiropractor the excuse to not have what they want while this one chiropractor had EVERYTHING he wanted.
He said, “Try and stop me. My only focus is to serve my community and I don’t care about the rules, politics, or who I piss off along the way.”
And guess what…
He was criticized…
He was belittled…
He was cussed at…
By other chiropractors...
But guess what x2…
HE SERVED HIS COMMUNITY MORE THAN ANY OF THE CRITICS AND HE MADE MORE MONEY AND HE HAD IT ALL!
Because he chose NOT to play by the rules unless he made the rules.
And this is how I have been able to get to where I am as well…
I never do anything unlawful…
I never do anything that will hurt someone…
I never do anything that would be perceived as unethical…
But I will NOT play by any rules if I feel that the rules will hold back my freedom and violate my CODE.
And I encourage you to adopt this principle and belief system as well.
YOUR VISION MATTERS MORE THAN THE RULES!
YOUR GOALS MATTER MORE THAN THE RULES!
YOUR DESIRES MATTER MORE THAN THE RULES!
YOUR BELIEFS MATTER MORE THAN THE RULES!
YOUR CODE MATTERS MORE THAN THE RULES!
And if you have chosen to follow the rules…
It’s because you are looking for an excuse…
An excuse when you fall short…
An excuse when you settle…
An excuse when you don’t have what you want…
And now that the cat is out of the bag…
STOP FOLLOWING THE RULES!
I know your truth…
You know your truth…
And as long as you are not breaking the law (too intensely :) ) or hurting someone - STOP playing by the rules because the RULES are dictating the lack of FREEDOM you have in your life and it’s your time to cut the ties and to fly.
Who is ready?!?!
