Play big or go home
I've got 1 question for you on this beautiful Saturday and then I'll let you be on your way.
Are you hunting antelope or field mice?
Hm?
Recently I stumbled upon this question that I've been thinking non stop about.
The idea is simple (but very powerful):
A lion is capable of hunting field mice, but the reward would insufficient compared to the energy required to achieve it. Instead, the lion focuses on hunting the antelope, which requires considerable energy from him but provides a sufficient reward.
This idea invites a fundamental question we should all ask ourselves in all that we pursue: are you hunting antelope or field mice?
In other words, are you focusing on the hard and important tasks that will provide sufficient reward for your energy and time?
Or are you burning all your ressources chasing the tiny insignificant wins that don't really move the needle?
I believe the cycle of abundance of life is simple: you get what you put in, 10 fold.
The effort that you put in comes in the form of the ressources that you consciously invest: time (prioritization), energy (mental hard work), focus (removing distractions), money (investments), purpose (a plan).
The trick is that it's only an effort if its truly hard to do. I am convinced that on the other side of joy, autonomy, wealth and purpose, you find the willingness to simply make an effort and do hard things.
The beautiful part is that the reward that we seek from the effort we put in also comes in the same form: time (autonomy), energy (joy), focus (peace), wealth (money), purpose (a life free of regret).

I've identified 4 stages where you might be in different facets of your life, based on the effort you put in, and the reward you are likely to get.
I'll be exploring these stages over the next months and studying the mindset shifts required to go through them systematically until fully reaching the cycle of abundance.
The way I see it, my role is to help you identify the hard tasks, conversations that you can do today to get the most, and leave behind the ones that leave you stuck in place treading water.
Hey rocking horse, for now just remember, don't confuse movement with progress.
Chose to hunt the antelope, every time.
That's it for today
