Play It Back Season 2 Kickoff: Maximum Effort and Some Fun New Stuff

Hey friends, Play It Back is back with Season 2, starting with a look at how Ryan Reynolds and his ad agency/production company Maximum Effort are setting the standard in product placement, partnerships, and audience development. I'll dig in on everything from his sale of Mint Mobile to T-Mobile , the Hulu and Disney+ series Welcome to Wrexham, and a dozen other companies that are getting the Maximum Effort bump ( 1Password , Nuvei , MNTN , Aviation American Gin , Betty Buzz and more).

ALSO, we're doing a few new things this season:


  • Timothy Bowman and I will be publishing a "Best and Worst of the Week" episode each Friday, talking through our favorite creative execution of the week. This can be anything from ads or marketing campaigns to movies, TV, games, music...you name it. We'll play back what worked and what didn't. Live panels: We've got some friends joining to give their own perspectives on the campaigns we cover.
  • Awards: Did you ever want to win a creative award from a small, extremely niche podcast? Now's your chance.

I'll still give you a grandfathered rate to get me on the show, but we must do it at Redmond Bar and Grill. In case you forgot, the rate is two Anderson Valleys.
