Play Away Your Sunday Scaries!

Play Away Your Sunday Scaries!

Don't Let Monday Ruin Your Sunday.

?YOUR SUNDAY SEVEN?

1. Send someone a handwritten note.

Email, text, and?chat have become so popular that it’s easy to forget traditional lines of communication like the phone and snail mail.

There’s nothing quite like getting a surprise envelope in the mail to invite you somewhere or thank you for something, so turn that excitement around and drop a little note to someone that you’re thinking about.

It'll make their day!

2.?Invest a little extra in your future this week.

Whether it’s increasing your 401(k) contribution or setting up a new stock portfolio investment, do something just a little extra to support your future financial stability.

3. Read the?Miracle Equation?by Hal Elrod.

I know a lot of you’ve heard me talk about the Miracle Morning by the same author, but the?Miracle Equation?is a great kind of modern-day version of Think and Grow Rich.

It focuses on mindset and activities that will help you achieve big goals. If you’re looking for a little inspiration to reengage in work or business, it is a great read.

4.?Tune in to a new news show.

It’s easier now than ever to get stuck in a circle of information that aligns with your views.

However, it can be good to take a step outside of those common sources to understand?new perspectives and fresh opinions. It’s always good to know where everyone is coming from, so we can have empathy and find common ground.

5.?Support an entrepreneur - buy some Girl Scout cookies!

Well, there’s only one option for this gluten-free girl, but we did our part and supported our friend Gretta and her?entrepreneurial endeavors with several boxes of Girl Scout cookies.

There’s still time to grab some Samoas (Jim's favorite), and I’m sure a mom around you would love for you to take a few boxes off of her hands before they are gone for another year.

6.?Declutter!

This week’s podcast is all about minimizing to maximize!

My friend, Shannon Arner, is a fellow tiny house enthusiast, who has embraced a simpler life in order to find abundance.

I also had the opportunity to?appear on her show, and we dropped our two episodes back-to-back, so we could share even more great ideas on how you can clean out, be present, and live the life YOU want to live.?

She and I dig into all kinds of personal stories, many of which you may not have heard, and so much more on these two complementing episodes, so tune in.

7.?Play a board game

We love game nights!

We're big fans of Trivial Pursuit in our family (and in case you're wondering, there is only one version -?the genius edition)!

That said, Jim and I have been having some fun over the past week playing a few games of Scrabble and Duel, a?two-person version of a really fun multi-player game called Seven Wonders.

If you're a fellow trivia fan, check out Mind the Gap, which is perfect for a multi-generational group. I'll let you find out why :)

Take it one step further and plan a game night with some friends and family for some old-time fun!
