The Platform Project CIC
We help young people to gain workplace skills in an experiential environment, helping them create a sustainable future.
It’s here! The latest news from The Platform Project – Swindon’s award-winning innovative development organisation, helping young people gain the skills, confidence and experience to launch their career.
Here’s what’s on the agenda this week:
Secure Your Tickets to Our Fundraiser
We have been overwhelmed by the response to our Epic Game Show Fundraiser, set to take place at MECA on Saturday 10th?June.?Lots of you have been in touch and secured a table. Good job too, because there are a limited number remaining!
This year’s black-tie event will feature a live gameshow, DJ, entertainment and food and drink. It’s a great social mixer for businesses and a fantastic way to treat your team to a great night out in support of a worthy local cause.?Proceeds from the event will help us continue our important work with young people in and around Swindon.
The Platform Project’s Founder, Sadie Sharp, said, “We’ve been really encouraged by the response to the event and we’re looking forward to an absolutely great night out at MECA. There are so many reasons to get involved – it offers brilliant value from £25 per ticket and £250 for a table of 10, it’s guaranteed to be loads of fun and it’s helping The Platform Project and our work with young people across the region. We’d encourage anyone wanting to attend to purchase their tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”
Tickets for the fundraiser start from £25 per person and if you’re looking for a team night out, or a night out for you and your clients, you can book a table of 10.
You can also have your company branding on a table plus an advert in the event programme for just £100. Take a look at all our sponsorship options that are available?here.?
Help Us Grow The Platform Project
With an eye on the future, The Platform Project is looking to expand its team and services to provide support to a wider audience.
It’s only been six years since we started, but it’s clear that what we’re doing is working, so we’re full steam ahead on expanding so we can help even more young people in Swindon. We need more youth workers, teaching assistants and youth trainers to help run our expanding schools and employability services, and experienced therapists, coaches and mentors to resource our growing one-to-one support offer.

In the near future we’re hoping to turn our innovative model into a social franchise and set up a second site as a pilot in another Wiltshire town to replicate our success in the wider area. We need continued support in order to be able to do this so we would love to hear from businesses and schools in Wiltshire who are looking for innovative ways to help young people thrive.
If you can help us to grow, we’d love to hear from you!
