Plate November update
We are excited to update you on the latest developments at Plate. Since our last update in July, we’ve been working on several new features, and we’re eager to share them with you in this newsletter. But first, we’d like to celebrate our 10-year anniversary with you.
In 2014, our journey with Plate began in a student house in Apeldoorn. Fast forward 10 years, and Plate has grown into a trusted CMS provider, empowering nearly 1,500 clients with user-friendly tools to autonomously manage their content and websites. In this Dutch video (with English subtitles available), we share our current achievements and plans for the future.
We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our employees, partners, and customers for being part of this journey. It wouldn’t have been possible without you? ????
UI/UX Upgrade
In October, after three months of hard work by our development team, we released the new UI/UX for the Plate dashboard and CMS interface. Below, you’ll find some screenshots of the update. Log in at to experience the new design firsthand.
There were several reasons for implementing this update. Over the past few years, we have added numerous new features to the CMS, which made the dashboard increasingly cluttered and harder to navigate, particularly for new users. To address this, we collaborated with a UI/UX expert to review and reorganize all functions into a new design. While everything functions the same as before, the new interface is now more user-friendly and easier to navigate.
To see the new interface in action, check out the video below. Pieter provides a walk-through of the CMS in Dutch, with English subtitles available.

Multi Content with Moderation
Earlier this year, we introduced the ability to share content between sites in a multi-site network. Last month, we added a new feature to Multi Content: moderation.
As a content editor managing multiple websites that share content, maintaining control over what is shared is crucial. With Multi Content Moderation, you can set rules to ensure that all shared content is reviewed before publication. For instance, if a school board manages a multi-site and wants each school website to share news with the main board site, the moderation overview lets you choose which content to accept or reject. Watch the video below to see this feature in action (Dutch but English subtitles are available).
WhatsApp Channel
We’ve also launched a WhatsApp channel for those who want faster updates than this bi-monthly newsletter provides. Receive brief updates on new releases with clear explanations and usage tips to stay up to date. This channel isn’t a group chat—no replies or member visibility, just essential updates. Join the Plate WhatsApp channel.
If you have any questions or roadmap suggestions, feel free to reach out to Pieter Versloot or Johannes Baas , or leave a comment below. Thank you for being part of the Plate community!
