As people's consumption level is increasing, many brands or companies are expanding from small-scale to large enterprises. The business volume gradually increased from?a very small to a large amount, and the customer base is getting larger and larger.
The expansion?requires?an?adjustment between importers and enterprises, and constant adaptation to the needs of consumers. When the importers’?business gets bigger, they will refer to the needs and likes of consumers in the local market, set up a design team of their?own, and gradually form an OEM team within the company.
The?project done by the OEM team can be called an OEM project. As the size of the customer becomes larger, the support of the enterprise must also become higher, otherwise,?it will be eliminated by the customer. So choosing the right company is an indispensable part of the OEM project.
Here is the process required for the entire OEM project.
1.?Pre-market research
?
If you want to develop a new product on your own, market research will be the most important part to follow to know the popularity of your product in the?market and to understand the sizability of the same. The time can be?devoted to?the market to determine the value of your investment in this product.

2.?Design sketch
?
You can pen down your ideas on paper, complete the initial concept design, and then find a company that can customize plastic toys and helps?analyze and discuss them with you. Choose the company that can?make you aware of the amount you need to?bring the project into reality.

3.?Appearance design
After the factory gets the manuscript, it makes a few modifications to the design based on the production process requirements, and the safety certification requirements of the market. The revisions will be presented to you, and you both can discuss and improve them together, with the project concepts, target markets, etc.
At this point, you will be doing a lot of trial and error. You must be open to suggestions and flexible enough to make changes if something goes wrong with a part.
4.?Prototype
After the appearance and 3D modeling data are confirmed, we can arrange to make a hand board. This is usually done by 3D printing or by hand. During this time, the engineer and you will need to discuss the feasibility again together to see if any adjustments are needed.

5.?Structural design?
After the confirmation of the handpiece, the engineer will use the software to design the internal structure of the product and present it to the molders for confirmation. Considering the cost issue, engineers and molders will try their best to reduce the number of molds under the condition of ensuring product quality as well as color matching.
They will also increase the number of parts per mold in a reasonable production time to?achieve the maximum cost performance,?shorten the production cycle and allow importers to market more favorably.

6.?Mold opening

Once the?structure is confirmed, the molders can arrange to open the mold. Depending on the size and number of molds, the mold opening cycle will be different. Usually, the cycle time is 30-45 days. After the mold is completed, there will usually be at least 2 mold trials.

The first mold trial is a test mold without color matching. The second trial mold is scheduled by color sample?to check if the color match is as expected and if further adjustments are needed.

7.?Samples
After the mold adjustment is completed, the company will review the best solution and your request until the desired final product is made. A proof will then be arranged to match the final color scheme. During this time, the packaging will also need to be proofed to check if any adjustments are needed before going to market. Samples will be sent to you for confirmation.
8.?Arrangement for certification
After the pre-production samples are confirmed, the company will arrange to do serious requirements according to your country's needs, such as the export of strollers to the United States, need ASTM963, CPSIA, CPC, ASTM4.25, BO test, etc., and the export of Europe will need EN71, EN62115, ROHS certification.
9.?Inspection
As soon as the?purchased materials arrive at the enterprise, during the production process, and after the products are finished, the factory will?conduct?IQC, QC, and FQC to inspect the products according to international standards to ensure the quality of products.

10.?Small batch trial production
?After all the certifications, samples, packaging, etc. are confirmed, we can arrange for small batch trial production, which mainly serves to calculate the daily production capacity and control the quality of the products.

11.?Mass production?
Once the trial production of small quantities is completed, orders can be placed. The factory will arrange to purchase the corresponding raw materials as well as packaging according to the order quantity. It also arranges the production on the production line and?completes?the assembly line production, packaging,?and other steps.

12.?Shipping
After all FQC inspections are passed, shipments can be arranged and the new products can enter the market smoothly and wait for the market inspection and feedback.
